The Lonoke Boat Manufacturing Plant operated by Baxter Miles built more than 7,000 boats from 1945 until 1952,with 3,000 built in the first 6 months of 1952. Bill Olinghouse of Lonoke served as distributor in Little Rock. Boats sold in New York City, Cuba and throughout the world. More than 150 pieces of wood were accurately cut to provide materials needed for a single boat. |
